President's Message

Having been elected as your President is both humbling and energizing. I am truly honored by your confidence in me, and I promise you that I will do my absolute best to make this a successful year.

Thank you to all of you for your partnership, your friendship, and your unwavering support of the Women’s Council. We are stronger because we work together.

Helen Keller once said, “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.” That line captures exactly how I feel stepping into this role. Nothing we accomplish this year will be because of one person. It will be because of all of us — our shared enthusiasm, our shared purpose, and yes, our shared ability to rally around a good project.

As many of you know, I am a native of The Netherlands. And because of that, I have officially declared my presidential year… “The Year of the Tulip.” Why the tulip? Well, besides being the most charming flower ever to grace a garden bed, it has a history as colorful as its petals. During the course of the centuries, this beautiful flower has traveled from the mountains of Central Asia, through Turkey, to The Netherlands and from there all over the world. Today it symbolizes renewal, optimism, and the promise of spring — qualities I hope will define our year together.

We have a full and exciting year ahead, and I encourage you to participate in our events and support our beautiful A Woman’s Garden whenever you can. For more details, please keep checking our website and your email accounts.

Thank you again for your trust, your support, and your friendship. I am honored to serve as your president, and I cannot wait to see what we will accomplish — together — in this beautiful Year of the Tulip.
