Fall Day Trip Recap: Roses & Rosé
Thursday, October 9 • Chair: Letisa McKenzie Our fall day trip to Tyler, Texas was a rosy success! Members explored how the city earned its title as the Rose Capital, beginning with a stroll through the largest municipal rose garden in America, where more than 300 varieties were in bloom. We visited the Rose Museum, admired the elegant tiaras and gowns of former Texas Rose Festival Queens, and enjoyed a delicious lunch paired with a rosé tasting. The afternoon continued with a guided tour of the historic Goodman-LeGrand House, an architectural gem. Throughout the day, our group relaxed and mingled while private coach transportation made travel to and from Tyler easy and comfortable. Many thanks to Chair Letisa McKenzie for planning a beautiful day filled with flowers, history, and fellowship. |
